Keeping my stick on the ice

Well since this year is coming to a close I decided to update my blog. I am sorry to you all especially my father-in-law for not being better about this.
Many things have transpired since my last blog in April.

* For one thing my camera must be ancient because I can't find a memory card for it. So pictures haven't really been happening much lately. I am hoping to get a new one soon.

*Summer seem to go by really fast this year. It seemed like the kids got out for summer break and had to go back the next week. I know it wasn't that way. I really enjoyed them being home and being able to spend time with them all day. I wasn't ready for them to return to school.

*Avva started Pre-K this school year. She is really loving it. She also loves her teachers (Mrs. Casstevens and Mrs. Bean) She only goes half a day and it works out really well that way.

*Levi played tackle football this year and really enjoyed every minute of it. Me on the other hand was not really crazy about the fact that my baby was going to be tackled by boys bigger and older than he was. I forget to mention Levi was one of two 4th graders on a 5th and 6th grade tackle football team. I saw Levi play in his first game and saw him tackle someone else much bigger than him annd changed my mind. I knew that he was going to be ok and I need to let him grow up.

*Zion has had problems with migraines for several months now. We finally took him to the doctor and with an MRI found that his left eyes optic nerve was swollen and is causing the migraines. So for now he is taking a medicine to try to keep the nerve from swelling to keep him from having migraines. So far he is doing somewhat well.

*As for Saul and I well we have been just trying to 'keep our stick on the ice', as in the words of my father-in-law. I have really been trying to work on myself in many ways. Physically, mentally and spirtually. For this up coming year, which is just about 36 hours away, Saul and myself are going to make numerous changes in our lives. From financially get ourselves out of debt, changing the way we eat, to make more time with our kids and and for each other as a married couple and for various other things. Both of us plan on going back to school in the fall to get our degrees. I am planning on going to school to be a nurse(a long time dream) and Saul plans on getting a degree in History. Please pray for us in this new journey that we can have the patience and strength for this change.
